Innovation Fisher
Innovation Fisher (IF) is a graduate student organization within The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. IF offers skill workshops, site visits to leading innovation centers, and exposure to industry leaders through visiting speakers and an annual summit, The Innovation Forum, which brings together thought leaders in innovation from national, regional, and local business communities. IF also offers summer internship opportunities to its members through the Innovation Fellowship program.
In its first two years, more than 160 students have participated as active members in the organization. IF members gain valuable experience and education in this emerging field and horizontal practice. Innovation coursework covers topics such as top-line value creation through multi-disciplinary and cross functional collaboration, multi-channel marketing to address the ever changing nature of consumerism and digitalization of content, and technological advancements and commercialization.

Fisher College of Business
Since 1916, The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business has produced exceptional leaders who meet the challenges of a changing global business environment through creative and effective solutions. In 1993, the college received a gift from alumnus Max M. Fisher, a leading industrialist, philanthropist and public servant. Mr. Fisher’s desire to see his alma mater become one of the premier management institutions in the country spearheaded the construction of a state-of-the-art, six-building campus. In recognition of his commitment, the college was named the Max M. Fisher College of Business.
Since then, the college has undergone a corporate turnaround; narrowing the focus of its programs, recruiting leading faculty, placing a renewed emphasis on experiential learning, and offering a wide range of international study options. Faculty and staff have also established new scholarship and fellowship opportunities, strengthened their commitment to diversity, and created innovative academic and corporate partnerships. As a result, Fisher’s international reputation continues to rise and is reflected in rankings that place the college among the top 25 business schools in the nation at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The Innovation Initiative
In conjunction with The Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University, and the Columbus business community, Executive in Residence Michael Bills is driving the development of a multi-faceted Innovation Initiative within The Fisher College of Business. The Innovation Initiative includes MBA and Executive Education curriculum, Innovation Fisher, a graduate student organization, a Corporate Innovation Forum comprised of business executives representing a cross section of leading companies and InnOSU, a University-wide innovation forum comprised of deans, associate deans and department chairs from eight colleges within The Ohio State University focused on creating cross-disciplinary expertise in innovation.
